PRINCIPAL'S WELCOME
A Letter From Our Principal, Mrs. Rogers
Dear Prospective Families,
Peace in Christ! Choosing an elementary school is one of the most important and dare I say intimidating tasks asked of a parent. So let me start by saying, we understand and we reverence how crucial it is to find the right fit. Parents often fear that their child will struggle, that their child will not be understood, and so much more. All parents hope that their child will excel academically, develop socially, and that they will gain skills that will become the building blocks of a successful life ahead.
Here at St. Francis Xavier we are well versed in the hopes and fears of parents, but more importantly we pride ourselves in understanding children and the joy that it is to accompany them on their journey. As our world changes quickly, the formation of young people is ever more important. So, thank you for taking the time to explore St. Francis Xavier School as a partner in the formation of your child(ren).
At the heart of our educational mission, for over 100 years, is teaching children to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, to educate their minds and souls, and to use faith and reason to guide them as they live their lives. We are proud to say we accomplish this through being REBELS:
- Rigorous academics taught with a Catholic worldview
- Extraordinary opportunities for prayer and receiving the sacraments
- Building of virtue and character
- Extracurricular activities in diverse areas
- Leadership opportunities
- Service programs… and more
Our students are challenged and supported by a remarkable faculty. St. Francis operates as a true community serving students and families from three years of age through eighth grade.
We understand the needs of our parents, as we offer before school care in the mornings, as well as our extended day program, in which we strive to have a variety of clubs and enrichment opportunities to offer.
All programs and curriculum at St. Francis are accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Our school standards are also aligned with national and state Core Curriculum standards.
We know this is not an easy choice, and we look forward to the opportunity to show you why choosing St. Francis Xavier could be the best choice not only for your child but also for your family! Know of my prayers for you all, and please reach out with any questions. It is my pleasure to serve you!
In His Merciful Love,
Mrs. Haley R. Rogers, M.Ed.
