Students and faculty demonstrated their pride and joy in the truly Catholic education St. Francis Xavier School provides through participation in various fun activities, including…

  • a prayerful Sunday Mass kick-off
  • Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the school grotto to pray a rosary for our families
  • Mass with our Bishop Edgar da Cunha
  • a student-led assembly
  • visits from community service workers on Career Day
  • dressing as favorite book characters
  • crazy hair and sock day Bingo with church buddies…and SO MUCH MORE!

Congratulations to all our students in grades 6-8 on a job well done on each of their projects!   We are very proud of you! 

Thank you also to our Middle School Science Teacher, Mrs. Plante, for her hard work and dedication in supporting all her students in their project planning through to the fair.

Grade 6

Students “Dress Down for Life”–Friday, January 29th

All students in the Greater New Bedford Catholic Schools GNBCS are “Dressing Down for Life” together on Friday, Jan 29th.  Donations of $1 or more to dress down on this day will be gathered together and donated in Bishop da Cunha’s name to Diapers ‘n Things of New Bedford.

We open our doors on Sunday, January 31st from 12:00-2:00pm to kick-off Catholic Schools Week and welcome all families interested in learning more firsthand about what makes our school special.  

We invite you to:

  • take a tour of our facility with one of our Student Ambassadors
  • meet our dedicated Staff
  • speak with current Parents about their experience as a part of the St. Francis Xavier community
  • learn more about our Catholic mission
  • and see student work on display as a part of our Learning Gallery.

Registration for NEW families wishing to enroll their child(ren) for the 2016-2017 School Year also opens on this day and continues throughout the week.
