See what's going on at St. Francis Xavier School!

Alleluia!  He Has Risen as He Said!   We look forward to resurrecting the Alleluia and celebrating the hope of Easter as a school community in the next 50 days! Please join us, if you are able, for our school Easter Celebration, Monday, April 4th at 1:00pm.  Each class has a short presentation that is sure to add great joy to this already joyful season!

Pictured here are members of the St. Francis Xavier School National Junior Honor Society and their faculty moderator, Miss Westbrook, who took the initiative to organize a service trip to volunteer their time at Gifts to Give during their Winter Break.  We are so very proud of their leadership and willingness to take time for others. All students in the Greater New Bedford Catholic Schools GNBCS are “Dressing Down for Life” together on Friday, Jan 29th.  Donations of $1 or more to dress down on this day will be gathered together and donated in Bishop da Cunha’s name to Diapers ‘n Things of New Bedford.

Students in grades 6-8 on Friday, January 8th, enjoyed a great night of pizza, refreshments and dessert…not to mention a memorable evening playing fun games with friends…all for $5! Student’s supported the work of the NJHS who are sponsoring this event to help build community among the middle schoolers and raise funds for a worthy cause.  All proceeds will be donated to the charity Smile Train. Each class adopted a St. Vincent de Paul family-in-need to pray for during Advent.
