Click here to enjoy a photo album of the excitement for Jolly Ol’ St. Nicholas which was palpable on his feast day, December 6th.
- As is the St. Nick feast day tradition, “shoes” which students made in school were set out in the hallway outside their classroom at the end of the school day on Monday Dec 5th awaiting a simple treat in his honor.
- We collected over $300 in NICKELS combined from all the classrooms which will be shared in the Spirit of St. Nick for a great cause…an adoptive family in need!
- Students also brought in gently used toys, which our 2nd and 3rd graders will deliver to Gifts to Give on their upcoming service trip.
St. Nick will visited classrooms briefly in the morning that day to collect the nickels before a cookies and milk assembly.
St. Nick also “cut the ribbon” to officially open St. Nick’s Workshop 2016. The 8th grade class is organizing this annual class fundraiser and offering all the classes in the school an opportunity to browse, make wish lists, and purchase simple items in the workshop for others during the remainder of the week.

St. Francis Xavier, pray for us!
Students and faculty kicked-off a celebration of our patron, St. Francis Xavier, at a “Feast Day Eve” assembly on Friday of this week that was organized by our 6th grade class and Miss Westbrook. Students learned a bit about the biography or our patron while enjoying a sweet ice cream treat compliments of Acushnet Creamery! The 6th graders then organized a “Mannequin Challenge” with student and faculty volunteers to demonstrate the many Works of Mercy we could practice in St. Francis Xavier’s honor.
All students and their families are invited to attend Holy Mass on Saturday, Dec 3rd at 9am…the actual feast day…to give thanks to God for such a powerful role model for our school! All students who attend Mass on Saturday, will receive a no-uniform pass from Mrs. Russo or Mrs. Shaughnessy as a gift to be used on Monday.
